Growing up in rural southeast Georgia, Mary was captured at a young age by the camera and her natural surroundings. This appreciation led to an Outdoor Education degree at the University of Georgia. Her journey guided her into the classroom and eventually into leadership, with a Masters degree in Learning Differences and a Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration.
Today Mary focuses on the beauty in her natural environs, travel and intrigue through her lens and sharing it with others. She loves providing bits of educational information so that others can appreciate and grow their enthusiasm in their natural surroundings. When she is not supporting students as a learning specialist and coach, Mary is traveling and photographing the awe and wonder around her and sharing her passion with others.
Some of Mary’s most recent clients have included the Georgia Natural Resources Foundation, Dossier World UNESCO Heritage Site for Okefenokee Swamp, Darien Telephone and Communications, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Savannah Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Private Collections through Mary Kate Blum Design (Charleston, South Carolina), Aviation, Vintage tractors and automobile enthusiasts, nationally recognized Artists usage for art reference photography, among others.
